Wolf Laurel Acknowledgements...

There are many people in my life from whom I gather my inspiration to write these books and it is their simple goodness, friendship and sense of family that continues to sustain me. They always appreciate the books and that makes me want to work harder to be a better writer. I sometimes even weave their personalities into some of the characters….only the good characters, of course, considering that thus far all my novels are murder mysteries.

To family: my wife, Sandy, most of all, and to our children and grandchildren. To Wilma, Linda and Dan, Rick and Janet, Karen and Rick and Mike. And then there’s my Uncle Red Martin whose stories of our family and West Virginia are always mesmerizing.

To my Vietnam War buddies, Kyle and Lanny. And to my true blue West Virginia State chums, Joe, Brenda and Chris…I am happy we have continued to stay in touch. You will always be in my heart.

I’ve acknowledged other friends in previous novels who assisted me personally and with my research; but specifically this time, I thank my comrade in arms Special Forces Warrant Officer Mario de Carvalho and his beautiful wife Jane Robelot. Mario, a major network photographer and Former Action Guy (FAG) , provided technical information in places and is responsible for the author photo on the book cover. You did the best you could with a difficult subject, Mario.

To all my buddies from GMS, both those who have passed on and those who remain. Greenbrier Forever; her name will never die.
