Colonel, U.S. Army, Retired
Lee Martin Biography; a native of a small
burg called East Bank, in the West Virginia
coal fields, graduated
from Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, WV, not only
as the Outstanding Cadet his senior year, but
was placed in the school’s Hall of Fame. While
subsequently earning his B.A. in English from
what is now West Virginia State University,
he was also commissioned out of ROTC as a
Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.
After attending the Airborne and Ranger
Courses, he served a year in the Republic of
Vietnam as a Special Ops advisor to Viet-
namese regulars and Montagnard troops and
awarded the Bronze Star,
Combat Infantryman’s Badge and Vietnamese Gallantry Cross. Lee served a total of 25 years in the Army’s Active and Reserve components and retired at the rank of Colonel.
In the late 1990s, Lee returned to school to earn his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Professional Counseling and has worked for the past decade as both a Regional Director of Insurance Medical Malpractice claims and a professor teaching courses in Psychology and Counseling at a university in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
As of this reading, Lee is working on his 7th and 8th novels, one of which is the sequel to Wolf Laurel, his highly-acclaimed 4th work of fiction. Lee also serves on the General Staff of the Georgia State Defense Force with the rank of Colonel. Colonel Martin now lives in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia.
